The Roman goddess of flowers. Flora was also the goddess of the season of spring and fertility. Her name was given to all flowering plants.

Flora was the consort of Zephyrus, god of the west wind.

Legends said that it was Titus Tatius who introduced the cult of Flora to Rome, during the reign of Romulus.

Her festival was introduced in 238 BC, called Floralia. It last for several days, from April 28 to May 1.
