Delphyne

Classical

According to Apollodorus, when the monster Typhon severed Zeus’ sinews and confined the god in a cave, Typhon set the she-dragon Delphyne to guard Zeus, to prevent his escape. But Hermes and Aegipan managed to recover Zeus’ sinews and rescue Zeus without Delphyne detecting their presence.

Hesiod made no mention of this she-dragon when he described the battle between Zeus and Typhon.
