Pontus & Bithynia

Bithynia was a region in northwestern Asia Minor on the coasts of Marmara Sea and the Black Sea. The Sangarius River flowed through Bithynia before it emptied itself into the Black Sea.
To the east of Bithynia was the region known as Pontus (Πόντος). The border between these two territories changed over the centuries.
